"POLVO" Development in Brazil |

 Lowe Offshore International, Ltd. provided overall Project Management Services for Devon Energy and SK Corporation for their “POLVO” Development Project in Brazil . This included direction of engineering efforts, procurement of all platform materials, vendor and construction QA/QC activities, expediting, inspection, cost tracking and control, and Construction Management of Jacket and Deck in Texas, and the Piles and Production Equipment in Brazil .
The fast track Field Development Plan includes a Drilling Platform connected to a Floating Production, Storage and Offloading (“FPSO”) facility by two infield pipelines and a power and  telecommunications umbilical in 340 feet of water. One 12-inch pipeline will carry the production fluids from the Drilling Platform to the FPSO; the other 10-inch pipeline will carry the water for injection from the FPSO to the Drilling Platform. The distance between the center of the Drilling Platform and the center of the FPSO bow turret mooring is 1.5 kilometers (0.82 nautical miles). The fast track project was completed in less than 2 years from sanction to startup.
